The first sculpture I made of Maggie pregnant was life-sized. The second, half life-sized, joined the hands below the swell of her pregnant abdomen. This third sculpture had the arms raised, as I love the forms of her arms and shoulders. This piece is designed to be seen from this angle first, and then, as the viewer approaches, there is a surprise, as the swell of the belly comes into view.
