This will show a selection of my early ‘mature’ work, mostly in drawing, loosely from ages 15 to 24.
This will show the broadening of my work into sculpture and photography, retaining a strong emphasis on drawing.
This shows a further widening of media into painting, and printmaking and installation.
This shows developments in composite photographic assemblage, both 2D and 3D, and some experimentation with artist’s books and ‘3D painting’ (painting on 3D structures).
This decade is dominated by two long series of composite photographic works, one featuring Barry’s Parade Gardens and Old Harbour, the other concentrating on Dyffryn House and Gardens, about six miles from Barry.
The ‘Header’ picture was taken from the Parade Gardens in front of our house. It shows the breakwater which stands at the entrance of Barry Old Harbour, which for generations gave refuge to small ships during stormy weather.
